Photo Montage Advice was once a scarce commodity! Things changed once the Industrial Revolution came along. Technology and production began to rise faster than we could keep up with, and photo montages changed right along with it. Before this period of transformation, photo montages were done by hand, requiring tremendous amounts of dexterity, and patience. Such endeavors were only undertaken by the most ambitious of upper class, who had enough time to complete such projects.

Well now its different, and photo montages are one of the most accessible activities out there, at least for those of us with access to computers and digital cameras. Access to such technology is growing though, and so photo montaging may be coming soon to a human settlement near you.

My advice is this: Don't forget the lessons of our ancestors. When they montaged their photos, they devoted patience and skill to their craft. Don't forsake these two things just because its the modern day! Especially not in the modern day. Having an advantage doesn't give you an excuse to slack! Do your hardest work of your life on the photo montaging, and you will see that the result has been great joy.

When choosing what software to use, keep an open mind. Some are easier to use at the expense of features, some have very broad and nice features at the expense of ease of use. Some are just hard to use and don't have the features to make up for it and just suffer from all around bad design. Here are some of my highest recommendations:
